飯塚 敏郎

1994年に長崎大学を卒業後、虎の門病院で勤務を開始しました。以降虎の門病院での勤務のみで現在に至っております。2005年矢作先生(現慶應大学教授)が赴任されてから、本格的に表在癌に対する内視鏡的粘膜下層剥離術(ESD)が始まることとなり、本手技の発展に貢献してきました。特にこれまでほとんど行われていなかった咽頭領域の表在癌に対してもこの手技を応用し、標準化した治療として行ってまいりました。これはEndoscopyなどの消化器のジャーナルに報告してまいりました。ESDの手技を行うためには早期の状態での癌の発見が不可欠であり、そのため、診断の領域にも力を注いでおります。現在話題となっているピロリ除菌後の胃癌の診断や、治療方針に影響する表在食道癌の深達度、中下咽頭癌の存在診断など、より精度の高い診断を目指して日々努力しております。さらにESD後の合併症対策も重要であり、特に食道領域における狭窄は解決すべき重要な課題であります。ポリグリコール酸シートを用いての狭窄予防や全周切除例におけるステロイド内服方法での狭窄予防法などに取り組んでまいりました。いまだ十分なものではなく、さらなる改良、新たなアイディアなどが必要だと感じているところです。
今後は癌以外の領域として、好酸球性食道炎の疾患病態の解明やバレット食道発生のメカニズムなども明らかにすべく、日々研究を行っています。
