住田　圭一

私は2005年に広島大学医学部を卒業後、研修医として虎の門病院に入職しました。2010年からは腎センター・リウマチ膠原病科の医員として主に虎の門病院分院で勤務し現在に至っています。幸い共済医学会より海外留学の機会を頂き、2015年から2年間、テネシー大学ヘルスサイエンスセンターの腎臓内科に客員研究員として留学しました。また、系統的に臨床疫学・統計学を学びたいとの思いからジョンズホプキンス公衆衛生大学院へ入学し、留学中に公衆衛生修士号（Master of Public Health: MPH）を取得しました。
研究面ではこれまで、日常診療で生じる臨床医ならではの“クリニカル・クエスチョン”を学術的な視点で検証し、英語論文として報告することを心掛けて参りました。留学中に大規模データベースを用いた疫学研究を中心に行っていたこともあり、現在は慢性腎臓病の発症や進展に関わる新たな臨床的因子の解明、さらにはその予防や治療へと繋がる研究の立案・実行を目指して日々努力しております。また、これまでに学んだ知識や経験を臨床現場に還元すると共に、研究サポートなどを通じて少しでも若手の先生方のお役に立てればと思っております。
